Villa transformation in Roquebrun-Cap-Martin, Nice, France
The project is located on a steep plot near Monaco and in a historical place in architecture, witness of the differences between Le Corbusier and Eileen Gray. A simple program, a house facing the sea, against the slope, like a viewpoint over the horizon of the Mediterranean Sea.
The intervention is based on the opening of the plan to create a fluid and flexible space, by separating from the facade to allow the diffusion of light. The entrance floor follows the horizon line, and integrates the most public uses, kitchen dining room and guest rooms. A double height space articulates the area of rooms, located on the lower floor.
