Villa transformation in Roquebrun-Cap-Martin, Nice, France
Client – Private
Location – Roquebrun-Cap-Martin
Status – Project
Date – 2017
The project is located on a steep plot near Monaco and in a historical place in architecture, witness of the differences between Le Corbusier and Eileen Gray. A simple program, a house facing the sea, against the slope, like a viewpoint over the horizon of the Mediterranean Sea.
The intervention is based on a floor plan opening to create a fluid and flexible space, separating walls from facade allowing light diffusion. The entrance floor follows the horizon line, and integrates the most public uses, kitchen dining room and guest rooms. A double height space articulates the rooms area, located on the lower floor.
